    Valley Jamboree
    Saturday September 26, 2009 - 07:30 pm

    SOLD OUT

Gary Morris      Tammy Morris      Ivan & Vivian Hicks
Mavis O'Donnell      Shelby Murray      Larry Mattson
    "Eunice"       Heather Morton      Geraldine Charters
Susan Layton      Sylvia Campbell      Dale Butland
Jaylee Hebert      Norma Gale      Cheryl Ellis

For some people, the Valley Jamboree is a "BIG Kitchen Party". For others ,it's a Variety Show. STOP!!! "You're both right "says founder and MC Gary Morris. "We try to have a balanced show with traditional (fiddle/accordion), along with solo/group vocals and a sprinkle of humour. The show is integrated. "One of the most exciting things is when different combinations of talent get into a song that not normally would not involve certain components to play together...it just happens!...... and the audience knows this part is not planned but they are a part of it". The Valley Jamboree has a 24 year history and tries to give the listener the traditional music while highlighting new talent. "Chris Cummings was a regular on the show for 5-6 years" says Morris. And it's not unusual for a surprise guest to pop in like Roger Lanteigne or Gordon Stobbe or Ivan and Vivian Hicks! And, if there's time, the show sometimes features the whole gang singing and playing a relaxed set of "oldies" in the FAVOURITES section.
    You will be entertained......we promise!.

These are just a few, of so many artists that we love and admire for their contribution to country music. Behind almost every overnight success story is an untold tale of toil. Yes, the chart-storming, inked-up lads of Stereos seem to have come out of nowhere with their smash “Summer Girl.” But singer Pat, lead guitarist Miles, rhythm guitarist Robby, bassist Daniel and drummer Aaron, spent a good half-decade hunkered down -- writing songs in basements, doing time in other bands and working McJobs before a twist of fate and MuchMusic turned them into “instant” pop stars. Besting 700 rivals on disBand was just a prologue to them besting 700,000 rivals on iTunes, where their now-platinum first single went straight to number one. It’s been a rapid six-month rise for Stereos, from playing in front of three people to rocking out before 10,000 –but consider that the first chapter. Touring to support the fall release of their debut album is where we’ll get into the meat of Stereos’ story.
